A guide by Spoon and Bubanee

edit.. This guide will give you a nice Flac and it also shows the .cue which you will need to do if you are planning to Archive yourself or for others who intend on using the .cue for Exact CD Reproduction.
The .cue contains information telling programs that handle the feature i.e ImgBurn (link below) to turn the Flac back into WAV for CD and if you applied Gap Detection you will have exactly what the name of the program is!.
For the computer you don't need the .cue at all since there will be no difference in sound between Flac and WAV since they are both Lossless Codecs and you can use the m3u file as a playlist.. Learn! and create the ultimate CDRips..

What we have here is a quick and easy blog on the setting of EAC for 100% Flac rated rips.
Now i'm not that good in explaining shit but the pics will tell a different story, ....so

Firstly you'll need a copy of EAC ~ (FREE !!)
..
Code:
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/resources/download/

When you install EAC be sure to select Advance and Flac and don't worry about the codec it's provided with the program as standard

The first few posts are from the Spoon guide..

Step 1: Download and install EAC
Download the installer and fire it up.

Eventually you'll get to a screen like this. Make sure you install AccurateRip, CDRDAO, and freedb as a bare minimum. FLAC will be useful as well if you don't have it separately installed. GD3 is only useful if you want to pay for metadata results. I assume you don't.

Step 2: Start EAC

When you first start EAC, you'll see a screen like this one. Hit "Cancel". Next, put a popular CD into your drive, preferably not one that was recently released (a few months old at least). You'll see a window like the one below appear. If you have an older version of EAC or dBpoweramp installed, it's likely AccurateRip was already configured, and this may not appear.

Hit Configure. It may take a few minutes. Hit "Ok" afterward. Once again, if you have an older version of EAC or dBpoweramp installed, it's likely AccurateRip was already configured, and this may not appear.

Ok that's the spoon posts out of the way and once you've done all that and it's very important that you do get the offset reading so DO NOT miss that at all..

Now here's some simple pics which you can easily follow and do as the pic does

Copy and Paste as Commend Line: Remember after you have finished creating the rip you can always edit the Flac tag.. (Tip: mp3tag (Free) )

Copy and Paste wrote:-8 -V -T "ARTIST=%artist%" -T "TITLE=%title%" -T "ALBUM=%albumtitle%" -T "DATE=%year%" -T "TRACKNUMBER=%tracknr%" -T "GENRE=%genre%" -T "PERFORMER=%albuminterpret%" -T "COMPOSER=%composer%" %haslyrics%--tag-from-file=LYRICS="%lyricsfile%"%haslyrics% -T "ALBUMARTIST=%albumartist%" -T "ALBUM ARTIST=%albumartist%" -T "DISCNUMBER=%cdnumber%" -T "TOTALDISCS=%totalcds%" -T "TOTALTRACKS=%numtracks%" -T "COMMENT=EAC V1.0 beta 3, Secure Mode, Test & Copy, AccurateRip, FLAC -8" %source% -o %dest%

----------------Ripping and DO AS IT SHOWS!!!!---------------------

Firstly create a Folder and name it...

It's very important to do the Gap Detection especially with Live Shows and bands like Pink Floyd who have a tendancy of rolling one song into another if you plan to make a .cue sheet for people to use a program like ImgBurn that will reproduce the EXACT AUDIO COPY!

Firstly place a CD into the drive, you'll get the database to grab the songs for you! and if done correct by previous users before you, you won't have to edit a thing! sometimes some people have dsylexia and swap artist with title and so on.. but it's simple as click song name and write the correct song and enter and so and so and so on.. pain in the assett right.. anyway..

be sure the default is checked..

Click Detect Gaps and a box will appear and do the checking and when that's done click ACTION again and Create Cue Sheet and then the NON COMPLIANT setting and save into the folder you are going to do your rip.

Test and Copy and Compressed to folder and go have a Coffee or hang out the washing..
